This view shows you how the planets circle around the sun. Your position is high above sun.

Click the "Farther" button to see the outer planets:

The heliocentric view shows where the planets are while orbiting around the sun.

Based on this data, everything else is calculated.

Longitude and Latitude define the position of the planet. The earth always runs around Latitude = 0.

The "Distance" from the sun is measured in AU:

1 Astronomical Unit = 149,597,870.691 kilometers = about 93 Million miles = avg. Distance Earth - Sun.
